QA Engineer

ob Responsibilities : a) Develop QA plans with development teams, per organizational standardsb) Help assure the quality of work products and process activities for design projects, per the QA plan.c) Maintain records and effectively communicate the results of QA activities, including presentations and reports to management.d) Identify critical issues and escalate them in a timely fashione) Define, collect, and analyze quality metrics, and the project and organizational levelsf) Facilitate systematic and effective risk management and problem resolution with development teamsg) Coach developers and cultivate quality champions in the organizationh) Identify common gaps and suggest improvementsi) Serve as an expert in DENSO processes, as documented and as practiced, for developers and management. Apply expertise toward sound QA judgments.Note : This is NOT a testing job!Experience : a) 3 to 7 years of experience in a QA role for embedded projects, as defined in the Automotive SPICEb) ISO26262 audit experience is preferredc) Cyber Security audit experience is preferredd) Experience in the automotive domain is preferred.e) Experience in leading or contributing to process improvement efforts is preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : a) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master’s degree is preferred.b) Knowledge of the Automotive SPICE standard and the ability to apply it to production products is required. Certified ASPICE Provisional Assessor is preferred.c) Knowledge of ISO 26262 standard and the ability to apply it to production products preferredd) Working knowledge of the electronics, systems, and software development environmentse) Critical thinking skills, for example, to distinguish consequential risks and issues from othersf) Statistical analysis for identification of systemic issuesg) Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.h) Experience with ALM tools, Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Atlassian
