Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in layout design, graphic design, and experience with various printing techniques. As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating printing presses, ensuring high-quality output, and maintaining equipment to meet production standards. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to producing exceptional printed materials.
Duties
- Operate and monitor printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials.
- Set up press equipment according to job specifications and ensure proper alignment and registration.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the printing process to maintain standards.
- Collaborate with the design team to understand layout requirements and implement necessary adjustments.
- Perform routine maintenance on press equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, including materials used and time spent on each job.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while operating machinery.
Skills
- Proficiency in layout design and graphic design principles.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite for preparing print-ready files.
- Strong understanding of color management techniques to achieve desired print results.
- Familiarity with screen printing processes and typography best practices.
- Knowledge of machining and CNC operations is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout the printing process.
