Job Description:
As the Meat Market Manager, your responsibilities will include managing daily operations of the meat department, including cutting, trimming, chopping, and grinding meat products. You will ensure the display of high-quality products, maintaining fresh inventory, and managing product orders. You will operate meat processing equipment such as electric meat saws and grinders, assist with special customer orders, and provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, and prepare meat products following best-in-class procedures
- Organize and maintain inventory in coolers and freezers
- Ensure proper product wrapping and presentation for display
- Operate meat processing equipment safely and effectively
- Provide product suggestions and assist customers with special orders
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, tools, and equipment
- Assist with ordering and maintaining stock levels
- Perform additional duties as required by the manager
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong team player with good customer service skills
- Ability to lift, push, and pull product safely
- Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen areas
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in the absence of management
- Ability to comply with health department and safety regulations
