What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scoping Engineer position at Tek Support?
The Scoping Engineer is responsible for identifying technical requirements for the deployment of telecommunications equipment at assigned sites. This includes reviewing site plans, construction documents, and customer requirements to create a comprehensive Scope of Work (SOW) and Bill of Material (BOM). The engineer will collaborate with various teams to ensure successful site build-out and material procurement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop detailed SOW and BOM, identifying work types and drivers.
- Review construction drawings, RF designs, and structural requirements for constructability and accuracy.
- Identify and propose site constructability changes.
- Create step-by-step build plans and outage schedules.
- Coordinate with stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure alignment and project success.
- Review and approve supplier quotes for material and services.
- Document rigging and crane requirements for the project.
- Participate in planning meetings, resolving project issues and ensuring timely delivery.
- Prepare status reports and handle problem-solving tasks.
