What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position at Tek tree llc?
We are looking to fill this role on both a full or part time basis.
Pay rates offered are determined based on a standardized scale that considers relevant experience and education.
This position offers relocation reimbursement of up to $10,000, as well as reimbursement for the costs associated with transferring your licensure to Alaska, for a full-time role. Reimbursement is contingent upon successful hiring and the signing of a reimbursement agreement.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Master of Nursing degree in Psychiatry
AND
- Five years of experience as an LNP or RN
- One year of experience in a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner role
- One year of experience in individual, group, family, and medication modalities and their application to adults with mental health and substance use disorders
License/Certification
- Licensed as an RN and APRN in the State of Alaska
- Licensed and certified Advanced Nurse Practitioner under 7 AAC 110.100
- Enrolled under 1 AAC 120.100 as a dispensing provider
- PMNHP Certification
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license with Prescriptive Authority for the Advanced Practice Nurse
- Including the completion of necessary supervised hours to obtain prescriptive authority
- Current DEA Number
- A valid Alaska driver’s license is required for this position. In addition, the incumbent must be able to clear the JAMHI auto insurance screening through the independent insurance carrier.
Knowledge Of
- The principles and practices of psychiatric and behavioral health-related nursing.
- Uses and effects of a variety of classes of medications, including psychotropic medications.
- Medical terminology and equipment.
- A broad variety of nursing techniques to readily and properly perform in all normal and adverse work situations.
- assessing and coordinating nursing services and programs
- Electronic health record systems and their functionalities.
- Legal and ethical standards for clinical documentation and confidentiality including HIPAA, CMS, and any applicable regulatory boards.
- The principles and practices of effective supervision.
Skills In
- Strong written communication skills for clear and concise documentation of encounters with clients.
- Standard office software suites that include word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
Ability To
- Demonstrate empathy and unconditional positive regard in interpersonal communications, while establishing and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Work cooperatively and productively with related agency staff, clients and families, allowing for mutual respect, consistency, and empathy, within appropriate ethical and relational limits and boundaries.
