Role : SAP BTP Staff Software Engineer
Location : Englewood, NJ Experience Required : 6 8 years Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Staff Software Engineer to lead SAP integration and development efforts within large-scale SAP S / 4HANA transformation projects . The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in SAP BTP, integration solution architecture, and hands-on development , along with strong communication, leadership, and strategic advisory skills .
Key Responsibilities :
Technical Leadership & Strategy :
Serve as a strategic advisor to product and business teams on leveraging SAP technologies.
- Define and drive technical architecture, integration strategies, and best practices for SAP BTP.
- Ensure the technical integrity of projects , leveraging common elements and preventing redundancy.
- Contribute to product roadmap and strategy development .
SAP BTP & Integration Development :
Design and develop SAP BTP integration solutions using SAP Cloud Platform Integration Suite, SAP API Management, SAP Cloud Connector, and HANA DB .
Implement CI / CD pipelines, version control (GIT), and governance policies for SAP BTP resources.Establish and maintain SSO / SAML configurations and utilize IAS / IPS for identity management .Develop integration solutions for SAP ERP (ECC & S / 4HANA), SuccessFactors, and third-party systems .Lead migration projects from legacy platforms (SAP PO, TIBCO, Informatica) to SAP BTP.SAP S / 4HANA & Cloud Development :
Utilize SAP S / 4HANA Extensibility Model for :
In-app extensions using RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model) .
Side-by-side extensions in SAP BTP using CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model) .Developing SAP Fiori applications and leveraging released APIs for customizations.Manage HANA DB provisioning, governance, and optimization for project requirements.Implement and manage Advanced Event Mesh for event-driven architectures.Cross-Team Collaboration & Governance :
Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure alignment with SAP ecosystem standards .
Develop and enforce SAP API governance using SAP API Management .Oversee Cloud Transport Management for seamless data movement across environments .Lead NEO to Cloud Foundry migration initiatives .Stakeholder & Vendor Management :
Work closely with senior management, IT teams, and vendors to ensure successful solution implementation .
Conduct technical presentations, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing workshops .Essential Skills :
8 years of SAP hands-on experience with expertise in SAP BTP, integration architecture, and cloud-based solutions .Strong understanding of SAP S / 4HANA, Fiori development, and API-based integrations .Expertise in SAP Cloud Platform Integration, SAP API Management, and HANA DB administration .CI / CD pipeline setup, version control (GIT), and governance frameworks for SAP solutions.Experience in SAP ECC to S / 4HANA transformation projects (greenfield, brownfield, bluefield).Proficiency in Business Process Re-engineering and Process Improvement methodologies .Desirable Skills :
Knowledge of SAP FieldGlass, SAP Signavio, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud .Experience in Advanced Event Mesh, Cloud Foundry migrations, and multi-cloud integrations .SAP certifications in BTP, integration, or cloud development are a plus.
