Job Description:
The VP for Land, Buildings and Real Estate is seeking a Groundskeeper with basic horticultural and landscaping knowledge.
Job Duties:
- Mow, fertilize, and water lawns, shrubbery, ground cover, flowering plants and trees
- Prepare beds for planting
- Remove leaves and rubbish from grounds
- Weed small areas
- Cultivate, prune, plant, transplant, fertilize, and water shrubbery, ground cover, flowering plants, and trees
- May operate walking power mowers or other non-mobile power equipment
- Adhere to safety rules
Requirements:
- Demonstrated strong communications skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to understand and follow job-related instructions given in English, either verbally or in writing.
- Basic computer skills(e-mail/Calendaring) and use of smartphones.
- Basic horticultural knowledge.
- MUST HAVE CA DRIVERS LICENSE and be over the age of 21
- Daily driving on campus to job locations, 2/4 miles approx. per day
