We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead mission-critical projects related to our payment gateway platform, working closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
Job Summary:
As the Project Manager – Payment Gateway, you will oversee end-to-end project management for the integration, enhancement, and deployment of our payment gateway services. You’ll work cross-functionally with technical, product, and business teams to ensure smooth delivery of features, partner implementations, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects related to the design, development, and deployment of payment gateway solutions.
- Create and manage detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate onboarding and integration of partners, merchants, and ISVs with our gateway APIs and systems.
- Conduct regular stand-ups, sprint planning, and stakeholder meetings using Agile or hybrid methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other payment industry regulations.
- Monitor project progress and deliverables to ensure they are on time and within budget.
- Manage documentation including technical specifications, project reports, and post-implementation reviews.
- Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to support test planning, deployment, and production readiness.
- Identify and resolve roadblocks or bottlenecks in the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in the fintech or payments industry.
- Strong understanding of payment gateways, merchant onboarding, and transaction processing (credit card, ACH, tokenization, etc.).
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, SDKs, and integration documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or MS Project.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Project Management, or related field. PMP or Agile certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with major payment processors like Fiserv, TSYS, First Data, or Stripe.
- Understanding of compliance standards such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, and GDPR.
- Hands-on experience with ISO8583, card networks (Visa, MasterCard), BIN sponsorship, or white-label payment solutions.
