OSP Inspectors - QA/QC Construction Close out– Various VA markets. 3-4 needed.
We are seeking OSP Inspectors for QA/QC Post-Construction Close outs for Part-time contract roles (20-30/hrs. per week). Coverage is needed in the following areas:
Job Summary:
The Inspectors will have the following job responsibilities:
Post Construction inspection to facilitate permit close outs.
Drive and walk the completed Fiber builds and inspect of the poles and UG construction as part of the quality control/safety process.
Verify the fiber build work that has been completed and capture the additional field work needed for completion. QA/QC work to verify the work was completed correctly in the field and communicate daily updates to the project management team.
The position oversees, inspects, and monitors contractual field work, fiber cable installation, grounding, and QA/QC monitoring. Most of the work is aerial with some underground.
You’ll validate as-built and finish project closeout documentation to confirm any red-line changes have been incorporated into the final design and that all project completion requirements are met.
Mileage will be paid at federal rates. Most of the work is within an hour or two of the designated market.
What will catch our eye:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in the telecommunications industry experience in the construction field with specific focus on fiber optic network deployment (i.e. fiber technician, inspector).
