What are the responsibilities and job description for the Permitting Specialists I position at TekCom Resources, Inc.?
TekCom Resources is seeking a Permitting Specialists I for a contract-based role with one of our largest clients. This is a remote role however you must be in Georgia or Alabama. You will be supporting telecommunications projects by securing permits and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, experience in permit processing, and a solid understanding of local and state regulations related to telecom infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
1 years in permitting, regulatory compliance, or telecom-related roles preferred. High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with permitting software, GIS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Understanding of municipal permitting processes and regulations.
Compensation:
The position offers a competitive hourly rate in the range of $23-$25ph commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, submit, and track permit applications for telecom infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with municipalities, utility companies, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with permitting requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of permits, approvals, and regulatory communications.
- Communicate project timelines and permit status updates to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Research and interpret zoning codes, ordinances, and regulations applicable to telecom projects.
- Assist in resolving permit-related issues and work proactively to prevent delays.
- Support the permitting team with administrative tasks as needed.
