Mainframe System programmer
Wilmington, DE/Washington, DC
12 months contract
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in Mainframe System Programming.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with CICS System Programming (CICS/TS).
- Strong knowledge of z/OS operating system, CICS, and associated components.
- Experience in installing, configuring, and managing CICS regions.
- Experience with tools like Omegamon, MainView, or similar mainframe monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of RACF for CICS security administration.
Technical Skills:
- Strong command of mainframe programming languages, such as Assembler, COBOL, and REXX.
- Experience with JES (Job Entry Subsystem) and batch processing on z/OS.
- Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting CICS applications.
- Familiarity with DB2 and VSAM data management.
Experience with performance tuning for mainframe and CICS environments
