Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in a distribution center environment.
Duties
- Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
- Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory
- Use RF scanners to ensure accurate tracking of merchandise
- Work closely with the shipping and receiving department
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role
- Proficient in operating warehouse equipment such as order pickers, clamp trucks, and cranes
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of shipping and receiving principles
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and materials handling
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $16.00 - $18.57 per hour
Experience:
- stand-up forklift; pallet jacks: 5 years (Preferred)
- hoist or powered vehicle: 5 years (Preferred)
- manual and electrical forklift: 5 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Heavy license (Preferred)
