We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Platform Engineering Lead/Architect to lead our platform engineering initiatives for our Enterprise Customers. As a key member of our Consulting Delivery team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure platforms that empower development teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Platform Architecture:
- Define and evolve the overall platform architecture, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Design and implement scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions, including compute, storage, and networking components.
- Collaborate with security teams to establish and maintain strong security standards and controls.
- Platform Development and Maintenance:
- Lead a team of talented engineers to develop, test, and deploy platform components.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Monitor platform performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the platform engineering domain.
- Team Leadership:
- Recruit, hire, and mentor a high-performing team of platform engineers.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- Set clear expectations and performance metrics.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with development teams to understand their needs and provide solutions that accelerate their delivery.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure smooth integration and shared services.
- Partner with operations teams to streamline deployment and maintenance processes.
- Technical Skills:
- 15 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Typescript) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Advanced proficiency in GitHub Actions, with experience in creating complex workflows and custom actions.
- Extensive hands-on experience in writing, managing, and deploying Terraform for infrastructure management.
- Deep knowledge of AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and networking.
- Proven experience implementing security frameworks, compliance controls, and governance processes in cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and monitoring tools (Datadog, Cloudwatch).
- Leadership Skills:
- Proven ability to lead and inspire high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
