Job Summary:

The MFCS QA Lead will be responsible for leading and managing the testing efforts in the implementation and customization of Oracle MFCS (Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service). The QA Lead will oversee testing across multiple functional areas, including procure to pay, inventory management, sales audit, and reporting, ensuring all components are working seamlessly. This role requires strong expertise in functional, integration, and performance testing of MFCS modules and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a high-quality solution. The QA Lead will be based onsite and will ensure alignment between offshore testing teams and the customer’s business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead QA Strategy and Execution:
  • Define and execute the QA strategy for the MFCS implementation, covering areas such as procure to pay, inventory management, sales audit, reporting, and other merchandise processes.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage for all MFCS modules, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing for key areas such as inventory, sales audit, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to design test scenarios that align with functional requirements and system customizations.
  • Test Planning and Management:
  • Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate functionalities in key functional areas like inventory transactions, stock updates, sales audit processes, and reporting capabilities.
  • Manage the testing schedule, ensuring alignment with the project’s timelines, and promptly address any issues identified during testing.
  • Track defects and work closely with development teams to ensure resolution and timely retesting.
  • Integration and Functional Testing:
  • Conduct end-to-end testing of MFCS integrations with other systems, including Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Legacy Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and sales audit systems.
  • Validate the flow of inventory updates, sales transactions, and financial reporting data across various systems.
  • Perform functional testing on MFCS modules such as inventory management, ensuring the accuracy of stock levels, transfers, and item availability.
  • Test sales audit processes to ensure all sales transactions are accurately captured, reconciled, and reported.
  • Performance and Data Validation:
  • Execute performance and load testing, focusing on high-transaction areas like inventory updates, sales processing, and reporting.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data in reports, verifying that inventory, sales, and financial reports match the expected outputs.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the system, ensuring scalability and stability under peak conditions.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the key liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and offshore testing teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on testing priorities.
  • Regularly update the project manager and stakeholders on testing progress, defect status, and any potential risks to the project timeline.
  • Test Data Management:
  • Design and manage comprehensive test data sets, covering various scenarios in inventory management (e.g., stock transfers, stock adjustments), sales auditing (e.g., transaction reconciliations), and reporting (e.g., financial summaries, stock position reports).
  • Coordinate with business users to ensure test data aligns with real-world scenarios, ensuring realistic and valuable testing outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with the organization’s quality standards, implementing best practices for testing in critical areas like inventory management, sales audits, and reporting.
  • Manage the defect lifecycle, ensuring all defects are logged, tracked, resolved, and retested to meet quality benchmarks.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Required Experience:
  • 8 years of experience in QA roles, with a focus on Oracle Retail solutions, particularly MFCS.
  • 5 years of experience in MFCS (Oracle Retail Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service) QA, covering functional areas such as inventory management, sales audit, and reporting.
  • Experience in integration testing between MFCS and related systems like Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), sales audit systems, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Proven experience leading testing efforts for large-scale implementations involving customizations across inventory, sales audit, and reporting.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in MFCS modules such as Foundation, purchase orders, pricing, inventory, sales audit and merchandise hierarchies.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools like BI publisher, with experience in validating sales transactions, stock movements, and reporting outputs.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL for data validation, test data setup, and reporting validations.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing, especially REST services, to test integrations between MFCS, sales audit, and reporting systems.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication skills, capable of liaising between technical teams, business stakeholders, and offshore resources.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating issues.
  • Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple priorities, ensuring high-quality deliverables on time.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Oracle Retail certifications are a plus.
