Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in maintaining data center operations, equipment repair, and telecommunications systems.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot data center equipment
- Perform fiber splicing and termination
- Conduct Cat6 and Cat5 cabling installations
- Repair and replace faulty hardware components
- Utilize Ohmmeters for electrical testing
- Ensure compliance with NEC standards
- Assist in VoIP telecommunication systems setup and maintenance
Experience
- Proven experience as a Data Center Technician or similar role
- Proficiency in fiber splicing techniques
- Familiarity with Cat6 and Cat5 cabling standards
- Knowledge of telecommunication systems and VoIP technologies
- Ability to use Ohmmeters for testing purposes
- Strong understanding of data center operations and equipment maintenance
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
