Role: Data Governance Analyst
Open for 2 location- Location: Phoenix, AZ / New York, NY (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
Data Governance Implementation:
- Support the design, development, and execution of data governance policies, standards, and processes.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure data governance frameworks are integrated into day-to-day operations.
Data Quality and Integrity:
- Monitor and measure data quality using Collibra and other data governance tools.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, implementing best practices for data cleansing and validation.
Data Catalog and Lineage:
- Maintain and enhance the enterprise data catalog in Collibra, ensuring data assets are accurately documented.
- Track data lineage to provide visibility into data flows and transformations.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work with data stewards, business analysts, and IT teams to define and enforce data ownership and accountability.
- Provide training and support to business users on data governance tools and practices.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure data governance activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and mitigate data-related risks.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2 years of experience in data governance, data management, or data quality roles.
- Experience working with Collibra or other data governance platforms (e.g., Alation, Informatica).
Skills:
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
- Proficient in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and Tableau/Power BI.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred:
- Experience in financial services or a highly regulated industry.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
