Role : Network Security Engineer
12-months- Charlotte NC
Hybrid in office
Great opening for entry level Cybersecurity Analysts seeking to gain a “foot in the door”
- Position focuses on day to day next-generation firewall administration, support, and operations.
- Also includes some project-oriented initiatives, troubleshooting incidents of varying severity, various compliance activities, and firewall policy optimization & maintenance.
- Candidates who have a network support or design background who wish to transition into a role in Cybersecurity are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
2-5 years’ experience in the following areas:
- Experience supporting a large enterprise network.
- Experience with network monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- General networking understanding and/or experience of TCP/IP communications, knowledge of how common protocols and applications work at the network level including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and SMB.
- Hands on experience working with Palo Alto Networks next-generation, FortiNet or Cisco ASA firewalls
- Cisco CCNA is required
- Experience analyzing network traffic.
- Working knowledge of NAT principles and troubleshooting is helpful
- Experience in Data Center environment is ideal but not required
