Banding Line Operator (1st Shift)

Tekni-Plex's Winston Salem location is the largest facility within the Consumer Products division. The Banding Line Operator is expected to prepare finished product for shipment to customers using the appropriate packing specifications, along with any other related duties required to complete such tasks. 

Shift: 1st/6:45am-3:00pm

Job Summary

The purpose of the Packer & Wrapper position is to prepare finished product for shipment to customers using the appropriate packing specifications.

 Duties And Responsibilities
 

• Follow all Tekni-Plex plant safety rules and regulations  
• Maintain good housekeeping practices  
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)  
• Communicate effectively with Planner/Scheduler  
• Provide timely and accurate administrative paperwork / tickets  
• Meet Shipping dates per schedule  
• Read and confirm in a timely manner: JSA, work instructions, and quality documents  
• Perform other duties as assigned or necessary  
• Maintain an accurate inventory of packing supplies  
• The Company maintains the right to revise and/or add duties in response to business requirements.  
• Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

• Successful Completion of Reading & Math Test.  
• Successful Completion of IVO certification training. ( Industrial Vehicle Operator )  
• Successful Completion of JSA reading. ( Job Safety and Health Analysis)  
• Successful Completion of GMP ( Good Manufacturing Practices)  
• Written and oral communication skills  
• Basic mathematical skills  
• Basic computer skills  
• Knowledge of how to operate banding equipment  
• Knowledge of how to use scales and record skid weights properly  
• Basic knowledge of production orders  
• Knowledge of the proper personal protective equipment (P.P.E.) required for the job  
• Basic knowledge of fork truck operation and routine battery maintenance
