ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Recruitment and management of maintenance employees to include performance evaluations, workforce development and training.

·        Implement, review and approve maintenance action plans and schedules for repairs of production equipment and plant facilities ensuring timely completion.

·       Delegate daily assignments and work orders according to customer needs as required for daily operations of manufacturing to meet quality and standards.

·       Guide all troubleshooting efforts of systems and equipment.

·       Analyze, evaluate and authorize all modifications to equipment in order to maintain optimal operating conditions, reduce costs and energy consumption.

·       Establish strategies for scheduled shutdown projects and extensive repairs with appropriate internal and external resources.

·       Address immediate actions in the event of unexpected failures and emergency repairs with minimal down time to production.

·       Prepare monthly charts and reports for plant management as needed.

·       Ensure inventory of parts, equipment and materials as well as process associated with purchases within the budget for the maintenance department.

·       Confer with management members to formulate facilities capital expense priorities.  Creates CER’s as needed.

·       Responsible for environmental compliance for facility.

·       Collaborate with engineering staff and other divisional maintenance staffs to efficiently implement any process and equipment changes, updates and repairs.

·       Responsible for electrical and mechanical equipment layouts and modification of facilities within the plant.

·       Ensure plant compliance of OSHA standards and reporting requirements.

·       Serve as a primary conduit for fostering a work environment consistent with company safety philosophy and compliance.

·       Create POs as needed.

·      Supervisory Responsibilities - manages operations, equipment and staff.

·      Other assigned tasks as needed.

Essential Qualifications & Knowledge:

·      Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Required (or equivalent work experience)

·      Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
·      Mechanical and Electrical background, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
·      Experience with a Maintenance Management System (Asset Essentials experience preferred)
·      Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology and tools
·      Excellent oral and written communications skills through all levels of management
·      General knowledge of environmental regulations
