We are currently hiring Plastics Extrusion /Clean Room Operator - 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, & 3rd Shift ($1000 Sign-On Bonus) in City of Industry, CA.
We are currently seeking a Plastics Extrusion/Clean Room Operator for our all shifts:
1st Shift: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Pay Range: $18.27 - $27.25 DOE with additional shift differential pay.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment promoting TPI’s safety standards by understanding applicable policies and procedures and actively participating in TPI’s behavior-based safety programs and reports all injuries when necessary.
- Sets-up downstream equipment (Puller/cutter, conveyor, winder, etc) according to work instructions to manufacture products meeting customers specifications, dimensions and weight
- Follows work instructions to collect and pack product per standards and / or quality requirements.
- Performs product inspection for defects and deviations from specifications using a variety of accurate measuring devices and enters all DATA into the statistical process control (SPC).
- Makes necessary adjustments to the process whenever necessary to ensure product meets specification.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and recommend resolution.
- Maintains complete and accurate records such as product lot traceability, production reports and any related activities to the process.
- Trains new staff during their orientation and induction process for the position.
- Provides coverage of positions and functions during meal times and/or absences.
- Reports any unsafe, improper or unusual conditions, faulty equipment, defective material to proper supervision.
- Performs other duties as required or directed.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or 2 years’ experience in a plastics extrusion / injection molding environment preferred or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Demonstrated ability to use hand tools and measuring tools from a tape measure to a micrometer or microscope, etc.
- Good problem solving/troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to obtain a forklift license/certification
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and legibly complete time cards and work orders. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and read blueprints and technical drawings, such as machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to effective present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
