What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator Truex - 3pm to 11:30pm position at Teknor Apex Company?
Shift is 3:00pm to 11:30pm; Monday thru Friday; 40 hours week
- Perform a variety of duties required to operate machines and maintain the work area in a neat, orderly and clean condition.
- Stocking the machines and removal of finished parts.
- Performing specified quality assurance operations. This includes use of various measuring instruments and gages.
- Assuring that all parts moved from machines are correctly identified as to lot number, count and conformance to specifications of blue prints, gauges and function.
- Maintaining lubricants and coolants for each assigned machine.
- Assisting in the continued function of all scheduled machines when other Operators are on break or engaged in repair of machines.
- Remove or install tooling, covers, etc. under supervision of Toolsetters.
- Leave machine well stocked for following shift.
- Report any problems, difficulties, or unusual circumstances to the Toolmaker, Toolsetter or Plant Manager.
- Maintain quality, production and, machine maintenance records as required
- Read and understand required SOP's.
