To drive our global growth ambition, we are looking for an experienced VP, Business Manager – Engineered Plastics & Elastomers (EP&E) who will be responsible for the overall P & L of the  EP&E business with revenue responsibilities in excess of $400,000,000. In the position, you will  set the strategic vision of the global business (that aligns with the overall corporate strategy) as well as facilitating, planning, and implementation of the strategic vision within the division.  The Vice President also Chairs the Cross Functional Business Team.

Your strategic vision, leadership skills, and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams will be key to delivering innovative products that meet customer needs and drive business growth.

This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Value Chain and will involve close collaboration with global value chain leaders, business leaders, sales and business development teams, as well as the technical team. As a member of the core leadership team for Value Chain, this position offers significant impact and growth potential, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to shaping Teknor's future success

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering profitable growth including the volume, net sales and gross profit in the annual operating plan
  • Aligning business area strategy with respect to competitive landscape and company strategy and vision
  • Manage cross functional business team to deliver AOP and an excellent Customer experience
  • Drive direct Sales organization and implement commercial excellence within business aligned with TA Value Chain and best practices.

 

  • Execute and support continuous process improvement as agreed to with Value Chain Leadership, Commercial and Op Excellence
  • Leverage best practices on ComEx to Build an effective pipeline and pipeline management process within business that can deliver AOP and strategy.
  • Collaborate and influence effectively cross functionally with Marketing, Business development and Technology to ensure the strategic pipeline for the business is robust and delivers the strategic growth in the 5 year plan.
  • Responsible for the leadership development and engagement of the team and organization.
  • Responsible for overseeing and leading the strategic positioning of the business  into a globally consistent provider of high value, comprehensive solutions tailored to customer specific needs.
  • Stays connected with senior level management within key customer base to build business relationships and strength  between the two organizations. Drives excellence in relationship development in Customers and related eco-systems, growing depth, width and height at key accounts.
  • Leads the AOP & strategy execution globally for the   EP&E business in Europe & Asia. Collaborate with Regional Commercial Directors and Regional leadership teams to meet financial and strategic objectives.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  Role Competencies and Experience Requirements:

  • Strategic & Results Orientation, with a demonstrated track record of delivering business results.
  • Team leadership and ability to work effectively cross boundaries. Strong Collaboration & Influencing skills
  • Change Leadership and a bias for action and speed
  • Commercial Orientation with significant experience working in thermoplastic elastomers and performance engineered thermoplastics. Experience in value selling within consumer, industrial & automotive markets a plus.
  • Position requires a minimum of 15 plus years of business management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a field of study such as chemistry, business, accounting, engineering, etc. is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15  lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone
