Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced DeltaV Control Systems Engineer to support the development, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCS) in complex industrial environments. The ideal candidate will work on system upgrades, process optimization, and integration, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Configure, program, and maintain DeltaV DCS systems to meet operational and process control requirements.
- Develop and implement control strategies, alarm management, and interlocks to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Perform system upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting of DeltaV hardware and software.
- Integrate DeltaV systems with other third-party systems such as PLCs, SCADA, and MES systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and instrumentation, to define control system requirements.
- Develop, update, and maintain control logic, graphics, and HMI interfaces within the DeltaV system.
- Monitor and analyze process control performance and implement improvements.
- Prepare and execute FAT/SAT (Factory and Site Acceptance Tests) for control system validation.
- Provide technical support for commissioning, startup, and plant operations.
- Maintain GxP compliance and ensure system documentation follows regulatory and safety standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Automation, or related field.
- 5 years of experience working with DeltaV DCS in industrial environments (Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Petrochemicals, or Manufacturing).
- Strong understanding of process control, automation technologies, and instrumentation.
- Proficiency in DeltaV hardware and software configuration, including modules, logic, and alarms.
- Hands-on experience with HART, Modbus, OPC, and other communication protocols.
- Familiarity with PLC programming and integration with DCS.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex control issues and optimize system performance.
- Experience with FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Knowledge of GMP, safety, and industry regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in process industries such as Oil & Gas, Chemicals, or Pharma.
- Knowledge of ISA standards for process control and automation.
- Certification or training in DeltaV systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with virtualized environments and cybersecurity for control systems.
