Main Purpose
- Conduct failure analysis on biomedical implants.
- Provide technical support and expertise to the Product Analysis Lab.
- Investigate root causes and develop protocols for analysis.
- Perform failure analysis on explanted implants.
- Apply theoretical knowledge and creative problem-solving to find root causes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, product development, manufacturing, and product surveillance.
- Proactively identify quality improvements related to failure analysis.
- Lead and mentor less experienced staff.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and company policies.
- Support the company's quality and environmental management systems.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Biomedical preferred).
- Work experience in engineering is desirable.
- Familiarity with medical device regulations is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and teamwork skills are essential.
