Job Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for performing a combination of production line tasks and material handling within the manufacturing environment. The role involves achieving standard production rates while maintaining adherence to safety, compliance, and company policies. The operator will also document work processes accurately and ensure that high-quality products are delivered to subsequent processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment and perform manual operations requiring basic mechanical skills.
- Achieve and maintain standard production rates while adhering to safety and compliance regulations.
- Inspect components, materials, and final products during or after the production process to ensure quality standards.
- Perform and document processes outlined in batch records and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct sampling and product evaluation, recognizing deviations and notifying area specialists or supervisors.
- Document lot changes, production processes, line clearances, and cleaning operations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Identify and handle non-conforming products or rejects.
- Actively participate in team activities, meetings, and area improvements to support production efficiency and cost reduction.
- Provide feedback on commodity and process issues to supervisors and area specialists.
- Work in a team environment to address issues and solve problems effectively.
- Comply with cGMP guidelines, plant policies, and all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- May assist in outdoor activities related to material disposition.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Must be at least 18 years old. Previous experience in manufacturing or a related environment is preferred.
