Key Responsibilities
- Project Engineering & Design:
- Lead the equipment design process and collaborate with the Project Manager to outline the scope of the project.
- Evaluate preliminary equipment lists and develop layouts for new operational areas.
- Process Flow Development:
- Design and optimize process flows, ensuring efficient product movement between operations and different rooms.
- Identify and document utility requirements for new installations.
- Equipment Familiarity:
- Work with biopharmaceutical equipment including bioreactors, centrifuges, chromatography columns, ultrafiltration systems, and media buffer systems.
- Assist in the selection and specification of equipment necessary for the project.
- Commissioning and Qualification:
- While not mandatory, provide expertise in commissioning and qualification activities as the project progresses.
- Collaboration:
- Engage with cross-functional teams to gather input and ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Provide technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Experience:
- 8 years of project engineering experience, particularly in equipment design for biopharmaceutical processes.
- Proven experience in both upstream and downstream processes is essential.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of process design and equipment requirements in a biopharmaceutical setting.
- Familiarity with commissioning and qualification processes is a plus.
- Education:
- A background in Chemical Engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Previous experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.
