Job Title: QA Specialist II

Location: Abbott Park, IL 60064-3500

Duration: 7 Months

Job Description

The QA Specialist II will perform testing on Abbott-branded instruments (Alinity/ARCHITECT) within the quality lab. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and experience in a lab setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate out-of-tolerance and out-of-specification results. Support ticket trending and maintain quality records. Own and approve OOS results and write protocols for investigations.
• Collaborate effectively within the team and with management.
• Maintain relevant documents and records.
• Conduct quality testing in a fast-paced lab environment, ensuring compliance with GMPs and GLPs.
• Participate in project activities and suggest improvements within the work area.
• Maintain and update relevant computer applications, becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Adhere to quality system requirements and stay informed on industry standards.
• Complete required training through the Electronic Training Management System (ETMS).
• Ensure proper storage of samples and documents.
• Participate in lab safety initiatives.
  
  

Minimum Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or closely related discipline.
• 2-5 years in a laboratory setting, with familiarity in CAPA processes.
