Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Location: Rochester, New York, 14617
Shift Type: 7am-7:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team in various procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, including cleaning, prepping, and mopping as needed.
- Handle surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring proper sterilization and availability.
- Support the RN in overturning the OR room when required.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures.
- Stay current with best practices in surgical technology and participate in continuous education.
- Must be certified by NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Operating Room (OR) within an acute care facility.
- Vascular experience required, with expertise in both hybrid and open surgical cases.
- Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
