TekPro Engineering is seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement electrical control systems for high-speed, precision automation equipment. You’ll collaborate closely with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams to deliver industry-leading custom automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot electrical control systems for custom automated machinery.
- Create and modify electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical or similar tools.
- Program PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and HMIs for system control and interface.
- Select appropriate sensors, vision systems, motor controls, and related components.
- Participate in machine debug, testing, and commissioning both in-house and at customer sites.
- Collaborate with mechanical design engineers to integrate controls with machine operations.
- Ensure compliance with UL, CE, and other applicable industry standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise during machine installation and after delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
- 2 years of experience designing and programming control systems (experience in automation/machinery preferred).
- Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley experience a plus).
- Strong understanding of electrical design standards and safety protocols.
- Experience with motion control, servo systems, and robotics integration is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally for customer site support and commissioning.

Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
