What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Heat Treat Loader - 2nd Shift position at TekPro?
Our client is a leading, privately held aerospace manufacturer is seeking a Heat Treat Furnace Loader (2nd Shift) to join their team.
The company operates a state-of-the-art, 140,000-square-foot, climate-controlled facility equipped with cutting-edge technology and advanced manufacturing processes. Their vertical integration includes world-class heat treating and plating capabilities, ensuring the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document data accurately on permanent heat treat records.
- Verify equipment and gauges for up-to-date calibrations, PMs, and pyrometric requirements.
- Make up loads and load/unload all equipment, including high-temperature box furnaces into die quench presses.
- Operate and maintain shot blast equipment.
- Perform center lap operations on parts per engineering routing.
- Apply carburizing and nitriding stop-off paints using dipping or brushing methods.
- Assemble painted parts with bolts and washers as required by operation sketches.
- Work from process sketches for selective painting of parts.
- Copper-strip parts per internal procedures.
- Thoroughly remove scale and contaminants from steel parts without removing excessive base material using blasting equipment.
- Maintain proper abrasive levels, replace nozzles, and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Motivated self-starter with problem-solving skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
