Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Electrician to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure smooth production operations. The Maintenance Electrician will work closely with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure proper functionality and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
- Diagnose electrical problems and provide timely solutions to minimize production downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to perform repairs and installations.
- Install, maintain, and repair wiring, electrical circuits, and control systems.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems and equipment, identifying potential issues and making recommendations for improvements.
- Monitor and adjust equipment settings as required to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform repairs as needed to minimize production interruptions.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and follow all safety protocols to ensure personal and team safety.
- Assist in the training of junior maintenance staff and provide guidance as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent perferred.
- Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, control systems, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with industry-standard electrical tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), and electrical safety standards.
- Availability to work on-call shifts, weekends, and overtime if required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights as needed.
- Capable of standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
