Job Overview:
Our client, a growing automotive machining facility, is seeking a Quality Manager to lead and manage their quality assurance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
- Lead Production Part Approval Process (PPAPs), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams to ensure robust quality planning.
- Manage internal and external audits, including IATF 16949 audits, customer audits, and supplier audits.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure process capability, root cause analysis, and problem-solving (8D, 5-Why, etc.).
- Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) efforts for new product launches.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, such as scrap rates, first-pass yield, and customer complaints.
- Provide leadership and training to the quality team and other departments on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Interface with customers and suppliers regarding quality-related concerns, ensuring effective resolution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- ~5 years of quality management experience in an automotive machining or manufacturing environment.
- ~ Proficiency in problem-solving tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis, etc.).
- ~ Familiarity with ISO 9001 and customer-specific quality requirements.
- ~ Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
