Job Description
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Delivery & Release Planning
- Collaborate with Product Teams to define product scope, milestones, and release schedules.
- Develop and track release plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
- Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks that could impact delivery timelines.
- Change & Release Management
- Create and manage Change Requests (CRs) in ServiceNow, working closely with development teams.
- Update and track CR progress, ensuring all necessary approvals and documentation are in place.
- Present Change Requests in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and follow up to get approvals.
- Coordinate with engineering, QA, and operations teams to ensure successful release deployments.
- Stakeholder Communication & Coordination
- Conduct release calls, providing real-time updates to stakeholders, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Act as a liaison between business, development, and operations teams to align expectations and resolve conflicts.
- Communicate risks, dependencies, and release status updates effectively to all stakeholders.
- Risk & Dependency Management
- Proactively identify and address potential risks and issues impacting releases.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and escalate critical issues when necessary.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of product releases.
- Process Improvement & Compliance
- Continuously improve release management processes, ensuring best practices and compliance with organizational policies.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to measure release efficiency, success rates, and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and security guidelines during release cycles.
Requirements:
You are:
- Experience: 7 years in Release Management, Delivery Management, or a related role in an Agile/DevOps environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with ServiceNow for Change Requests, version control, and deployment processes.
- Process Expertise: Strong understanding of Agile, CI/CD, ITIL processes, and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience handling CAB meetings and executive updates.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proven ability to identify, track, and mitigate risks and dependencies within release cycles.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to drive cross-functional teams and influence decision-making across technical and business teams.
- Tools & Technologies: Experience with ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, and other release management tools.
