Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with a deep understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize our databases while driving data-centric decision-making across the organization. This role requires a blend of database administration skills and BI platform expertise, ensuring seamless data storage, retrieval, and reporting processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the performance, security, and reliability of critical database systems. You will play a key role in partnering with our BI team to design and improve our ETL, reporting, and warehouse.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

Public Trust Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.

10 years of professional experience as a Database Administrator, with a focus on systems administration.

Expertise in database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.

Proficiency in database performance tuning, backup and recovery strategies, and disaster recovery planning.

Experience with cloud-based database solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Strong understanding of database security protocols and best practices.

Experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) setups.

Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and/or within a team.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment, handling multiple priorities effectively.

Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.

Certification in SQL Server, Oracle, or related platforms is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of Jupyter Notebook and Pandas library for data analysis in Python
