About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with deep functional knowledge and hands-on experience in real-time payment systems, specifically with FED (Federal Reserve), CHIPS (Clearing House Interbank Payments System), and SWIFT. This role requires expertise in designing and implementing end-to-end solutions for real-time payment processing, including strategic architecture planning, functional design, and system integration.
As a Solution Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, developers, and operations, to design scalable, secure, and high-performance payment solutions that align with business needs and industry standards.
(Knowledge of pagoNext and CHIPS is preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of real-time payment solutions using FED, CHIPS, and SWIFT. Define technical requirements, ensure system scalability, security, and high availability for payments processing environments.
- Functional Expertise: Leverage deep functional knowledge of real-time payment systems to advise on best practices and innovative solutions. Understand regulatory requirements and industry standards for payments (knowledge of CHIPS / FED wire is must), ensuring compliance.
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring that solutions are implemented according to architectural guidelines and industry standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business stakeholders, product managers, and other teams to understand business needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements.
- End-to-End Design: Design end-to-end payment flows from transaction initiation to settlement, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across various real-time payment networks.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed architectural documentation, including design specifications, data flow diagrams, and system interfaces. Communicate design decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
- Experience:
- At least 7-10 years of experience in payment systems architecture with a focus on real-time payments, including hands-on experience with FED, CHIPS, and SWIFT.
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect or a senior role in payment systems or financial services technology.
- Functional Knowledge:
- Strong functional knowledge of real-time payment systems and protocols (including transaction flows, settlement, and reconciliation processes).
- Familiarity with the Federal Reserve's Real-Time Payment Network, CHIPS, and SWIFT messaging protocols and services.
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth understanding of payment system architectures, API integrations, and modern payment processing technologies.
- Expertise in , and other messaging formats used in the payment industry.
- Leadership & Communication:
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing complex solution architecture projects.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and senior management.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in working with global payments infrastructure and standards.
- Knowledge of real-time payment systems in USA region and regulatory environments.
