Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at the VA Maine Healthcare System in Augusta, ME. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and preparing them for laboratory analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting blood samples from patients using sterile techniques.
- Preparing blood samples for laboratory analysis.
- Maintaining accurate records of patient information and test results.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of recent Phlebotomy experience.
- Fluent in English (read, write, speak, understand).
- Must meet VHA credentialing and privileging requirements.
- Ability to meet VA's standards of care and demonstrate competency when requested.
- Must complete all VA-mandated training and stay current with any new requirements.
