REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or GED; prefer electrical degree or certificate
A minimum of 2 years of on-hand outside plant (OSP) experience in the following areas :
- Permitting of buried and aerial facilities.
- Copper plant design.
- Long haul fiber sizing and design.
- FTTH design for both Greenfield and Brownfield subdivisions.
- Experience using CableCAD, ESRI ArcMap, or other design, drafting, or mapping software.
- Understanding of telecommunications network principles, including fiber optic technology, cable sizing, and network topology
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve technical challenges in the field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform field inspections
