PC/Field Technician *Secret Clearance Required

TEKsystems has an immediate need for a PC/Field Technician to support a government client of ours. There are 4 lakes with sites surrounding them that the PC/Field Tech will be working at (Sardis Lake, Enid Lake, Arkabutla Lake, Grenada Lake). They can be based in Oxford, Sardis, or Enid Mississippi. This person won't be 100% traveling, just traveling to these lakes when tickets arise at those sites.
*This position requires an active Secret clearance and on-site in the Oxford/Sardis/Enid, MS area - No remote work*
Responsibilities:

• Provide second-tier support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications and hardware.
• Offer support with problems that the first-tier of help desk support is unable to resolve.
• Performs technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers either by telephone, or on-site for PC desktop hardware and software packages.
• Install and test personal computers, printers, and other peripherals, configure operating system, load shrink-wrap programs and other application software programs.
• Troubleshoots printer, computer, and peripheral incidents, performs hardware and software diagnostics, coordinates needed repairs, resolves computer system problems, including coordination between users and components of a local area network, and participates in the evaluation of system configuration and software.
• May interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem.
• May simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
• Recommend systems modifications to reduce user problems.

Requirements:

• Active Secret Clearance
• CompTIA A /CompTIA Network /CompTIA Security (Must have 1 of these, any of the 3 are acceptable)
• 3-5 years of experience in PC Tech/Desktop/Jr Sys Admin support
• Must be comfortable working on their own
• Experience supporting Windows 7, Windows 10, and MS Office 2013.
• Experience using Remedy or a similar ticketing system.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00/hr.
