PC Technician

Location: Pickstown, SD

Job Description:
We are seeking a PC Technician to join our team in Pickstown, SD. The ideal candidate will provide second-tier support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications, and hardware. Responsibilities include:

• Offering support for issues unresolved by first-tier help desk support.
• Interacting with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and identify core problems.
• Simulating or recreating user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
• Recommending systems modifications to reduce user problems.
• Maintaining a high level of technical skill in the field of expertise.
• Escalating more complex problems to Senior Level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Software installation and configurations.
• Providing technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers either by telephone or on-site.
• Installing and testing personal computers, printers, and other peripherals.
• Configuring operating systems and loading application software programs.
• Troubleshooting printer, computer, and peripheral incidents.
• Performing hardware and software diagnostics and coordinating needed repairs.
• Resolving computer system problems, including coordination between users and components of a local area network.
• Participating in the evaluation of system configuration and software.

Required Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in desktop support.
• CompTIA A certification.
• High School diploma.
• Active secret government security clearance.
• Experience supporting Windows 7, Windows 10, and MS Office 2013.
• Experience using Remedy or a similar ticketing system.
• Strong analytical and follow-through skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate and get cooperation from multiple areas within IT to accomplish assignments.
• Ability to work well independently on defined tasks and as part of a team.

Desired Skills:

• Experience maintaining Lexmark, HP, or Ricoh printer devices.
• Prior experience in a DoD environment.
• Experience supporting Office 365.

Additional Information:

• Must obtain appropriate DoD 8570 IA Computing Environment Certification within 6 months of employment.
• This position requires an active secret clearance and the ability to work on-site in Pickstown, SD.

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
