The Analyst will work collaboratively with our client's Digital Team (Strategy Leads, Product Managers, User Experience Team, Content Strategists, Product Owners, FED, UAT), Business Stakeholders and IT. The Analyst will gather and document business system and functional requirements, influence system design to optimize support and ensure solutions meet the business objectives and requirements. The Analysts seek to gain functional expertise in the area they support and know the details of a feature inside-out. They juggle competing priorities and navigate through the technical and / or business constraints around a problem in order to drive towards a solution. They work with stakeholders to ask the right questions, drive to the right amount of detail, and get to robust answers quickly and succinctly.
In our client’s Agile development environment, a successful Analyst will separate the breadth of the solution from the depth of the solution in order to continuously deliver smaller increments of development-ready requirements. The Analyst will accept input from all the team members and stakeholders, specify a robust solution that meets the evolving needs of the business, and help create a strong sense of confidence that the solution can be delivered to market.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrated ability to map current and future website requirements into sufficiently detailed descriptions for development
- Elicit requirements using interviews, brainstorming, gap analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, use cases, scenarios
- Thoroughly understand the current client's personalization digital capabilities and guide discussions with business to deliver personalized outcomes
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts
- Decompose high-level information into more detailed requirements that can be prioritized and release planned
- Ability to abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding of the requirement
- Distinguish user requirements that are must-have’s versus user requests that are not critical to development
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the appropriate artifacts as needed
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Manage the multiple tasks for delivering complex personalization initiatives
- Document personalization use cases and identify gaps in existing capabilities
- Write user stories
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
- Use client’s Content Management System to deliver insights on implemented personalization use cases
