We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Data Center Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cabling and a solid work ethic, capable of handling the physical demands of the job. Experience in data centers or construction sites is highly desirable. We are also open to training individuals with no prior cabling experience who are eager to learn and grow in this field.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Install, terminate, and test various types of cabling including coax, fiber, Cat5, and Cat6.
* Perform punch downs and ensure proper cable management.
* Assemble and install server cabinets and related hardware.
* Maintain and organize cabling infrastructure within the data center.
* Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective project completion.
* Open to junior candidates who have strong cultural fits, can follow directions well, and are eager to work.
* Duties include data center build, cable dressing, and basket tray installation.
*Top Skills:*
* Cabling Experience: Proficient in handling coax, fiber, Cat5, Cat6, and performing punch downs. No license required.
* Work Ethic: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing ladders, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces.
* Data Center/Construction Site Experience: Familiarity with the environment and protocols of data centers or construction sites.
