*Workers Compensation Lost Time Claim Examiner*
*Location*: New Haven, CT (On-site, 5 days/week)
*Pay Rate*: $36 - $37 hour
*Shift*: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST
*Contract Length*: 13 week Contract - possibility of extension
*Key Responsibilities*
* Manage all aspects of workers' compensation lost time claims from initiation to closure.
* Conduct investigations, gather statements, and evaluate claim compensability.
* Ensure timely administration of medical and indemnity benefits.
* Set reserves and adjust as necessary based on case progression.
* Collaborate with attorneys to manage litigation and hearings.
* Oversee medical management and return-to-work initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and file necessary workers' compensation forms.
* Communicate claim denials and prepare reports on settlements and evaluations.
* Coordinate with internal teams, including case managers and investigators, to exceed customer service expectations.

*Required Skills & Qualifications*
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a Lost Time Claim Examiner or related experience (paralegal, disability claims, auto injury, general liability, or technical claim assistance).
* Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
* Knowledge of workers' compensation regulations is a plus.
* Claim Adjuster licenses in CT, NH, RI, and VT required (can be obtained after hire).
* Familiarity with medical terminology and billing processes is a plus.
