What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collections Specialist position at TEKsystems?
We are currently hiring a Collections Specialist for one of the top Credit Unions in Colorado!
*Description*
* Responsible for handling calls regarding delinquent member accounts
* This could include overdrafts, VISA credit cards, lines of credit, secured loans, signature loans and real estate loans
* Reach out to members via phone and email when overdraft amounts are not rectified in a timely fashion
* Assist members in putting in place payment plans in effort of repaying any outstanding overdraft amounts
* Placing outbound calls to handle delinquency ques and charge off/recovery ques
* Perform skip tracing (as needed)
*Qualifications*
MUST HAVE
* High School Diploma or GED
* Knowledge of collection procedures and related laws/regulations
* 3-5 years of Collections Experience in the auto loan industry/full service financial institution
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to hear customers, but also maintain the conversation and come to a solution of payment
* Good organizational and problem solving skills
* High level of analytical skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Experience with CBR disputes - this is related to credit bureau reporting (allows you to send account information to credit bureaus in a standard format - this impacts people's credit history and not taken lightly)
* Knowledge of e-Oscar (streamlines dispute resolution process between data furnishers and credit reporting agencies), Symitar (credit union software), and Temenos (software for banks and credit unions)

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
