Have or working on an A cert. (Especially for entry level candidate)
Willing to speak to all levels of candidates from entry level to highly tenured
3 year long contract
Working on custom servers. So much to learn!!
WHAT WE ARE SEEKING :
Title : Data Center Technician
Schedule : Monday-Friday 8 : 00AM-5 : 00PM, potential availability for night shifts please reach out for more details
RESPONSIBILITIES
Respond to service tickets for servers in customer datacenters in a timely manner
Keep parts lockers up to date and properly stocked at all times
Troubleshoot and triage server failures to determine the most efficient path to getting a server back online for the customer.
Track server fleet health and validate that we are always exceeding customer requirements for total servers online
Provide consistent, detailed feedback to the ZT engineering team on failures, serviceability of servers, and integration with the datacenter
Apply firmware and BIOS updates as needed using our engineering-approved tools
Comply with all datacenter safety, security, and operational protocols at all times
PREFERRED SKILLS :
Ability to identify hardware failures and work within the limits of a defined process to get hardware running or replace entire servers
Ability to regularly lift and move server systems that weigh up to 70lbs
Fanatic attention to detail. Accuracy in inventory, trouble tickets, asset tag updates, wiring plans, etc. is essential to the customer and is critical to this role
