POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Claims Supervisor, performs various functions related to claims processing. Adheres to processing rules, guidelines, and policies. Meets department productivity, quality, and accountability standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
* Electronically images claims and related documents.
* Performs data entry and verification of required documentation.
* Processes different levels of claims and reviews suspended electronic claims.
* Handles requests for pre-authorizations.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
* Assists in adhering to document policies and procedures.
* Provides support to Customer Service and other departments as needed.
* Completes special projects as assigned.
* Works towards annual goals set by the supervisor.
* Maintains positive relationships within the department and company.
* Works as a team player and assists where needed.
* Maintains a customer-focused attitude, ensuring timely and accurate claims processing.
* Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education
* High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
* Minimum two years of clerical experience, customer service, sales, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Knowledge
* Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets is desirable.
* Demonstrated customer service skills.
* Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks.
* Effective oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to handle confidential information in compliance with laws and regulations.

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $41600.00/yr.
