Field Operations Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Operations Specialist to join our team at TEKsystems. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing routine grounds inspections and preventative maintenance on cell sites, fiber transport cabinets and building locations, and vehicles.

You will identify and evaluate all hazards the network field operations technician is unable easily resolve, determine a course of action, and execute a resolution with supervisor's or manager's approval.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine grounds inspections and preventative maintenance
• Identify and evaluate all hazards
• Utilize test gear and approved procedures
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of applicable telecommunications technologies
• Possess a good working knowledge of applicable test equipment
• Demonstrate, explain, and clearly communicate troubleshooting techniques
• Exhibit the ability to work independently
• Create and assign work orders and supervise contractors
• Install Ethernet, VoIP, GPON, OC-n, and related services
• Work closely with the NOCC and other departments
