Job Description : Access Control and Camera Installation Technician
Position Overview : We are seeking a skilled and motivated Access Control and Camera Installation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will work in various environments, including data centers, distribution centers, hotels, and schools, handling access control systems, cameras, and voice / data installations. This role involves working with door contacts, mag locks, badge readers, cameras, Cat6, fiber optics, and building out cable pathways.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install and maintain access control systems in commercial environments.
- Install and maintain camera systems in commercial environments (bonus if experienced, but not necessary).
- Create cable pathways in large commercial environments using J hooks and cable trays.
- Work with door contacts, mag locks, badge readers, cameras, Cat6, fiber optics, and patch panels.
- Punch down and terminate cables on patch panels.
- Bring fiber to IDFs and build out cable pathways.
- Operate boom lifts, ladders, and scissor lifts safely.
