Record Maintenance: Regularly update patient files and ensure compliance with privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare staff, including physicians, nurses, and administrative personnel, to gather necessary information and clarify any discrepancies in patient records.
Data Management: Assist in managing operations related to data storage and retrieval, often collaborating with healthcare teams to streamline processes.
Support: Provide support to patients by answering questions regarding their records or guiding them through the process of accessing their health information.

Proficiency in 10-key and typing 50 WPM
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to avoid errors in data entry that can lead to significant issues in patient care and billing processes.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using electronic data processing equipment and related software applications.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to interact effectively with healthcare staff and patients.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or an associate degree in business or medical office administration may be preferred.
