*Job Summary: *We are seeking a personable and organized Medical Receptionist to assist our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front desk operation. The Medical Receptionist plays a critical role in delivering excellent patient service and supporting the administrative functions of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greet and assist patients and visitors with a warm and professional attitude.
* Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance information and collecting payments.
* Answer and route phone calls, take messages, and provide information as needed.
* Schedule and confirm patient appointments, coordinating with healthcare providers and staff.
* Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
* Assist with billing and coding tasks, including processing insurance claims.
* Handle administrative duties such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
* Monitor and order office supplies and maintain a clean and organized reception area.
* Address patient inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns with empathy and professionalism.
* Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth office operations and patient flow.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare administration is a plus.
* Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare setting preferred.
* EPIC experience required
* Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
*Shift: * Mon - Friday, 8 - 4:30
