*Job Description:*
* The ED Patient Access Supervisor is responsible for providing guidance and mentoring to new and existing staff, ensuring proper handling of accounts, and maintaining positive customer service.
* This role involves daily support, training, and assistance in managing escalated issues, as well as preparation for both short and long-range planning recommendations for all registration process areas.
* Provide daily support, mentoring, and training to new hires and existing Patient Access staff.
* Assist in preparation for short and long-range planning recommendations for Admitting, Centralized Scheduling, Emergency Department, and any on or offsite clinics.
* Maintain positive customer service at all times, assisting staff in resolving issues.
* Enforce departmental policies, practices, procedures, and work rules in accordance with approved department and hospital policies. Assist in the development and implementation of new policies according to hospital and corporate guidelines.
* Monitor daily activity and complete performance and metric reports such as financial clearance reports. Perform special projects and reporting as assigned.
* Perform all Patient Access functions as needed.
* Act as part of the management team to ensure that the group is meeting all operational goals.
*Qualifications to Apply:*
* Hospital Experience: Must have experience managing a 24/7 team in a hospital setting.
* Flexibility: Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift and adapt to changing schedules.
* Leadership: Proven track record of overseeing teams and meeting KPIs.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities.
* Thorough knowledge of computer systems in Health Care Information Systems.
* Clear understanding of Revenue Cycle Management and Regulatory Agencies.
* Ability to receive and express detailed information through oral and written communications.
